How To be Successful with PPC
Pay per click marketing is a set of techniques and strategies used to direct more visitors or “Traffic” from search engines to marketed web sites. Pay Per Click (PPC) is an Internet advertising model which comes under search engine marketing. In PPC, you pay only when your advertisements are clicked by users to land up on your website. These advertisements appear on top or adjacent to the natural search results. Google AdWords, Microsoft AdCenter, and Yahoo Search Marketing are referred as “Paid Placement,” “Pay-per-Click” (PPC) advertising.
This does seem very simple I know. Log on Create an add campaigne and just let the money roll in. But there are some very easy ways to do this wrong, and end up depressed, out of pocket and worst of all, have had your time wasted… (I am talking from experience). So here are 5 simple bits of advise to help steer you in the right direction in the exciting world or Pay Per Click Marketing.
1. Finding that curcial Niche Market. The biggest and easiest mistake made when starting is getting into a market that is either oversaturated ie: weightloss, or not at all profitable ie A guide to the top 5 meat resutraunts for vegetrains. Refine your market, don’t be afraid to be specific. Even really specific! A niche which has boomed reciently is “improve your golf swing”. This is great. It’s a hobbie and a hobbie that people spend money on! Basically ask your self “Is this niche specific, is it a problem or hobbie, are people willing to pay for a solution/product/information?”.
2. The Product. You’ve found a Nieche. Are people already selling a product for that nieche? If Yes can you become an Affiliate? And if not can you create a product that people will want and be willing to pay for? If you can create your own product then that’s ideal! E-books, Webinars, Video, all easy easy easy ways to create a valuable product for very little cost. If creating your own product seems a little out of reach then becoming an Affiliate may be easier. Check out www.Clickbank.com/marketplace for the lastest and most popular products on the net. Heads up, it also has some useless products aswell. A good way to judge is the ‘GRAV’ rating. The higher the rating the more successful the product.
3. Keywords. Having relevant keywords is a must. Best tool and free is the google keyword tool. A little tip is trying to use long tailed keywords, a short phrase about three to five words long. For example: “how to improve golf swing”. This is good because it cuts down on the amount of other completition for that niche. Rather than just “golf swing” and having to compete with 2 million other websites. 4. Set up ad campaigns, varried and different. Its important to try a lot of different ads. Wording, pitch, keywords, time limits, free trials etc. This will give you the most success, rather than having all your eggs in one basket and wondering why your only getting 4 clicks a month. Also TRACK WHAT YOU DO! Find out what works and doesn’t work, change it. Every Nieche will be different. Have fun with it, it’s a learning experience.
5. Find a program / Software! There are a lot of programs out there that can help push you in the right direction, and make the Pay per click experience eaiser more effective. You may choose not to and that’s fine to. But in most cases a Program cann mean the difference between earning money in a month or a year. Think of it as your PPC Personal trainner, there to push you, guide you and get the best results.
The great thing about PPC ads are shown only to people who show interest in specific products/services. The users express their interest by searching for the specific terms or keywords and the ads are displayed along with natural search results. The successful convincing of the PPC ads will help you convert that “traffic” into sales and be successful in internet marketing.
